It’s not tied to the main quest, so you could finish the game without ever knowing it exists. But where’s the fun in that?
So, how do you get Rune Rage? Simple: beat the First Sinner in The Slab. Yeah, I know, “simple” is doing a lot of heavy lifting there. The First Sinner is a tough cookie, but the payoff is worth it. Big mistake? Maybe. Because out comes the First Sinner, and they are not happy. The boss fight is intense. There are plenty of rooms to dodge into, but the First Sinner is quick and hits like a truck. I can’t tell you how many times I got clipped by those fast attacks. But after a few tries—okay, more than a few—I finally took them down.
Once defeated, you get a prompt to “Accept.” Don’t be scared. Accepting rewards you with the Rune Rage Silk Skill—the exact same ability the First Sinner used against you. Poetic justice, if you ask me.
